They are also why a building inspection matters so much. Older homes have charm, and they can hide problems that a quick look on open-home day will never reveal.

Why older homes need a closer look

The older a home is, the more it has lived through. Decades of weather, renovations, repairs and additions all leave their mark. Some of it is cosmetic and harmless. Some of it is structural and expensive. The only way to tell the difference is a thorough, professional inspection.
